# How hubs work

> Blueprint, Roadmap, Ideas, Decisions, Table. What each one is for and when to add it.

A **hub** is a workspace inside a strategy with one job. A strategy can have as many hubs as it needs, and you can name and colour each one. Press **Add hub** on a strategy's home to add one.

## The hub types

| Hub | Use it for |
| --------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Strategy** | The thinking — vision, personas, OKRs, value propositions. Cards drafted by the agent. |
| **Roadmap** | Planning the work. A timeline view and a Now / Next / Later view of the same items. |
| **Ideas** | Capturing, scoring and prioritising ideas before they become work. |
| **Decisions** | The questions, assumptions and decisions behind the strategy, with their status. |
| **Table** | Trackers and registers — typed columns, sort, group, CSV export. Risks, stakeholders, metrics. |
| **External research** | Market and competitor research cards. |
| **Development** | Specs, requirements and technical plans. |
| **Design canvas** | Freeform frames, flows and annotations. |
| **Delivery board** | Kanban of epics and stories, with GitHub and Jira export. |
| **Interview** | Voice interviews — set up, invite people, transcripts land here. |
| **Workshop** | A live whiteboard for running sessions together. |

## Cards and items

Strategy, External research and Development hubs hold **cards** — structured documents the agent drafts and you edit. Roadmap, Ideas, Decisions and Table hubs hold **items** — rows you add, drag and score.

Cards can link to items and to each other. A decision can point at the roadmap item it unblocks; a persona card can be referenced by an idea.

## Naming and colour

Each hub has a name and a colour. Two Table hubs called "Risks" and "Stakeholders" are perfectly normal. Rename any hub from its header.

## Who can see a hub

Hubs inherit the strategy's sharing, and you can tighten it per hub — hide a hub from viewers, or make it edit-only for a few people. See [Sharing & permissions](/strategies/sharing-and-permissions).

<Tip>
Start with two or three hubs. Add more when you feel the need, not before.
