# Roadmap

> One set of items, two views: a timeline and Now / Next / Later.

The Roadmap hub holds **items** — pieces of work with a title, a description, dates, a lane and a bucket. The same items show in two views.

## Timeline view

Bars on a calendar, grouped into lanes. Drag to move or resize. Lanes are yours to define — teams, themes, workstreams.

## Now / Next / Later view

Three columns. Drag items between them as priorities change. Items with no dates yet live happily here.

## Linking to cards

A roadmap item can link to the cards that justify it — the problem statement it addresses, the decision that unblocked it. Linked cards show on the item.

## Keeping it current

The roadmap is only useful if it's true. Archive items that are done or dropped; don't delete them. The record of what was planned matters later.
