# Sharing & permissions

> Private, shared with people, or open to the organisation. Plus per-hub overrides.

## Three sharing modes

Every strategy is in one of three modes. Change it from the strategy's share menu.

| Mode             | Who can see it                                                 |
| ---------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Private**      | Only you.                                                      |
| **Shared**       | You, plus the people you've invited, each as viewer or editor. |
| **Organisation** | Everyone in your organisation.                                 |

## Viewer vs editor

* **Viewers** can read everything in the strategy that isn't hidden from viewers.
* **Editors** can add and change hubs, cards and items.
* The **owner** can change sharing and delete the strategy.

## Per-hub overrides

You can tighten sharing on a single hub without changing the whole strategy:

* **Hide from viewers** — editors see it, viewers don't. Useful for a Decisions hub while options are still raw.
* **Per-person rights** — give one or two people edit rights on a hub inside a strategy they otherwise only view.

## Portfolio

Portfolio shows every strategy you can see under these rules, and nothing else. There's no separate portfolio permission.
